• Classic German food like bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzels, and German potato pancakes 
• German tortes and pastries
• A bier stein hoisting contest with prizes for top finishers

The Autumn Craft Fair at Strangeways is a special fall market hosted by Artisan Makers, RVA's leading event organizer for independent makers and small businesses. The event's partner bar, Strangeways, will serve handheld bar food and craft beer to hungry shoppers. 

As for the market itself, you can expect to find items like: 

• Handcrafted housewares and home decor 
• Knit and crochet scarves, sweaters, tea towels, and stuffed toys
• Vintage toys, furniture, and collectibles  
• Handmade jewelry, keychains, and accessories 
• Made-from-scratch soaps and beauty products 
• Original paintings, sketches, prints, and other artwork

Fall Artisan Market at CONEX RVA

If you can't make it to the craft fair, Artisan Makers is holding a similar Fall Artisan Market event the next day at local outdoor event space CONEX RVA. Attendees can spend the afternoon shopping for one-of-a-kind handcrafted or vintage items and indulging in beer, cocktails, and bar food from some of the many breweries operating at the venue. 

Vendors will be set up in the outdoor portion of the space on September 27 from 12 to 5 p.m. CONEX itself stays open until 6 p.m. on Saturdays, though, so you'll have time for a few more drinks if you're not ready to head home right away.  

Richmond Folk Feast

Richmond Folk Feast is a special fundraising dinner held in support of the nationally celebrated Richmond Folk Festival. The event brings together top chefs from more than a dozen of the city's hottest bars and restaurants, including:  

• Blue Atlas, a multicultural eatery serving upscale versions of dishes from Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas 
• Morty's Market and Deli, a legendary local sandwich shop
